While visiting friends in Traverse City during the early 1980’s Vicky and her husband Mike quickly fell in love with Leelanau County after spending a perfect summer day boating on West Grand Traverse Bay! Without hesitation they decided to leave their established careers in Ann Arbor and relocate their young family of 4 to Suttons Bay without first securing new employment. This was a major life decision that they’ve never regretted! After graduating from The University of Michigan (Go Blue) Vicky worked for 25+ years as a Realtor® for numerous national real estate brokerages in Ann Arbor, Traverse City, and Suttons Bay before establishing her own brokerage Oltersdorf Realty in 2006. In 2003 Vicky’s son Jonathan became a licensed real estate agent and after graduating from Michigan State University (Go Green) with a marketing degree he joined the real estate company full-time in 2007 and turned Oltersdorf Realty into a true local family business. Vicky’s daughter Cayman (Jonathan’s sister) who is also a MSU graduate joined the company in 2016 as a licensed vacation rental manager and transitioned the growing family business to a team of 3 licensed real estate agents with a combined 63+ years of real estate experience! Since 2006 Vicky & Jonathan Oltersdorf have closed more than 1,000+ transaction sides and over $357 Million+ in total sales volume.
